GedHTree V2.80. Release date July 28, 2009.
- Added feature which opens GedHTree generated GEDCOM index file (ghtindex) using your default browser when GEDCOM processing is complete.
- Added programming which which uses initials for first and middle names of privatized individuals (if that feature is selected) on the photo page index page and the photo page heading.

- Added feature which recovers all your settings possible from prior GedHTree installation if GedHTree is installed in the same directory, overlaying the prior GedHTree installation. It is not possible to recover your registration code. It will have to be re-entered after you install or re-install GedHTree.

- Added Australia GEDCOM Time/Density Map.
- If individuals with no ancestors and no descendants are present in GEDCOM file, a text file list of these individuals is generated. A message is displayed at end of processing your GEDCOM file. if such individuals are found. GedHTree cannot generate family group pages for such individuals. The list can be used to correct problems in your GEDCOM file.
- Children that appear in two different family groups are now displayed in both family groups.

GedHTree V2.30. Release date Feb 14,2006.
- Added option to generate England GEDCOM Map Time Sequence. Click on the "Start Time Sequence" link on the England GEDCOM map to sequence through the five time periods.
- Increased maximum number of most frequent Male and Female First and Middle Names displayed on the Name/Age Stats page to 500 from 100.
- Improved parsing of City, Town, State, Province, Country for use on tree and GEDCOM map pages.

GedHTree V2.25. Release date Feb 07, 2005.
- Feb 13, 2004 update. Corrected bug which caused error if background color for group pages was changed.
- Added option to use either Arial or Times New Roman fonts when generating output pages. Checking the "Use Arial fonts for all pages" box will use Arial fonts. If the box is not checked, Times New Roman fonts are used.
- Added option to Encode email addresses. An EMAIL link will be provided at the bottom of the index and group pages which links to an encoded email address page if you check the "Encode Email Address" box. The email address is displayed in such a way that spammers cannot easily harvest your email address for junk mail purposes.
- Added option to make a copy of the GedHTree index page (ghtindex.htm (.html) and label it index.htm (.html). This places the copy in the ghtout subdirectory. Use this option if you wish ghtindex to be your website index page.
- Changed links on Surname and Frequent Surname pages so they now position to the first occurrence of a particular surname on the surname index pages.
- Made formatting changes to index and group pages for increased readability.
- Fixed the following bugs: 1) Family group descendant tree root guides were not being displayed unless All-Inclusive Tree output option was also checked. 2) A very small number of icon links on GEDCOM maps were to non-existent pages if birth places were not fully defined for a GEDCOM individual.
GedHTree V2.24. Release date Oct 23, 2004.
- Added optional England GEDCOM time/density map in addition to existing USA and Europe maps (for registered users). England counties have a time/density icon which indicates time (birth year) and density of individuals in your GEDCOM for that county. Clicking on the time/density icon for a county will take you to the group page of the individual in your GEDCOM with the earliest birth year in that county.
- Individual referenced notes (with tag of @NInnn@ generated by Family Tree Maker) now appear on an individual's inline note page and can be accessed directly by clicking the Note icon on an individual's group page.
- Added a time/density icon for the country of Moldavia to the Europe GEDCOM time/density map generation process.
- Fixed bug in Photo Page generation process which could cause an erroneous error message stating that a user defined photo file was not present in either the gedhtree or photos subdirectories.
- Added England GEDCOM time/density map example which is accessible by clicking Start > (All) Programs > GedHTree > View Registered Enhancement Outputs.
GedHTree V2.23. Release date Feb 22, 2004.
- Optional Root Guides can be added to All-Inclusive Family Tree and Family Group Descendant Tree pages. Root guides aid you in tracing direct family lineage in the descendant direction by labeling those arrow links of children which are in the direct lineage path of the earliest ancestors in the GEDCOM file back to the root individuals you have defined. Root guides are labeled arrows (Root 1, 2, 3 or 4).
- Photo Pages increased to a maximum of 500. Each with up to five photo images with optional captions. A total of 2500 photos with captions can be entered.
- Multiple individual and family photo pages for the same individual or family can be defined.
- A Photo Page Index page shows all photo pages you have defined sorted by the name of the individual and by individual type and family type photo pages. It is accessible via a link on the ghtindex page.
- A Find/Edit a Photo Page window has been added which allows you to review and edit all the photo pages you have defined.
  You can search for photo pages by first name, middle name or surname, or, any combination thereof.
  Leaving the name text boxes blank allows you to review all photo page data in the order that you entered them.
  You can edit any of the photo page data and save the edited version of the photo page.
- Family Notes are now processed and linked with a family camera icon on the family group pages.
- The Full Name of all individuals in addition to title, suffix, prefix, birth and death date is now displayed on the surname index pages.
- Non-numeric note references are now processed.
- Fixed a programming bug which sometimes prevented Other Outputs selected from displaying more than five lines of text.
GedHTree V2.22. Release date Oct 24, 2003. Updated Dec 01, 2003.
- Baptism, Christening, Nickname (includes Alias), Education (includes Graduation), Occupation, Emigration (includes Immigration), Residence (includes Census), Event, Religion, Will (includes Probate) and Burial data can be individually selected for output (data will be labeled and will be on an individual's Note page).
- Family group photo links can now be added in addition to individual photo links.
- Captions can now be added to each photo on individual and family group photo pages.
- Photo Links Template provides automatic formatting and allows easy entry of individual or family group photo image files and captions.
- Your photo image files which are to appear on photo link pages can now be placed in a subdirectory of their own - "\GedHTree\Photos\". GedHTree will first check for your photo image files in the GedHTree directory (for compatibility with prior versions) and then in the "\GedHTree\Photos\" subdirectory.
  If the photo image files are in the GedHTree directory, they will be transferred to the "\GedHTree\Photos\" subdirectory and deleted from the GedHTree directory.
- Suffixes which follow the bracketed surname in the GEDCOM file are now processed.
- Titles, prefixes and suffixes are now displayed for an individual on the surname index pages in addition to being displayed for an individual on family group pages.
- HOME or EMAIL links on index pages can be deleted by blanking the corresponding Email address or Home Page text box on the main GedHTree runtime window.
- Fixed a programming bug which could result in a direct ancestor tree not being completed for wife's ancestors if no husband is present in the GEDCOM file.
- Fixed a programming bug which could result in tree root links label selection not being saved.
- Changed Progress Gauge % complete indication at bottom of runtime window to eliminate excessive flickering.
GedHTree V2.21. Release date Jul 04, 2003.
- The background colors for the text boxes (tree branches) can now be specified for descendant group trees and compact, vertical and classic direct ancestor trees and all-inclusive family group trees. This is in addition to the page background color which can be separately specified. Go online and click Background Examples to view many of the hundreds of combinations possible.
- Note and Source page size limitation for an individual has been eliminated. Notes and Sources for an individual can now be up to a 100 pages and more in length.
- The limitation that numbered note and source references would not be processed if the reference number was larger than 30,000 has been eliminated.
- Surname Count page reformatted so that individuals with surnames of "unknown", "living" and "private" will appear at the bottom of the page. Any surname that begins with a non-alphabetic character ( "?", "(", etc.) will also be placed at the bottom of the Surname Count page.
- Frequent Surname and Surname Count page outputs are now an enhancement for registered users.
- Reformatted and increased the number of names displayed on the Name/Age Stats page. The first 100 (if there are that many different names in the GEDCOM file) most frequent first and middle names for male and female are now displayed. The names are now sorted alphabetically within each count group for each of the four name categories.
- Privacy processing has been enhanced. You can now manually define up to 200 individuals to be privatized by entering their names in a "Privacy Text Box" list. The "Privacy Text Box" entries are saved and restored when you next run GedHTree. The privacy list can be modified or additional individuals entered as necessary. You can choose to use both automatic and manual privatization, either method by itself, or, no privatization.
- Fixed a programming bug which placed an incorrect tree icon link at the bottom of the index pages when all-inclusive tree option was selected.
GedHTree V2.20. Release date Feb 28, 2003.
- Reformatted all thirteen GedHTree interactive runtime windows for greater clarity and ease of use.
- Added install program to GedHTree download to simplify installation process.
- The install program provides a desktop shortcut to run GedHTree, and five entries in the Start > Programs > GedHTree menu (GedHTree, GedHTree GEDCOM Output Index, User Guide, View Backgrounds, Register GedHTree and Uninstall GedHTree).
- Added a comprehensive User Guide (readme.htm) to GedHTree download which can accessed by clicking Start > Programs > GedHTree > User Guide.
- Added "Single family pages" option for family group pages and all-inclusive ancestor trees for faster downloading and printing convenience.
- Added optional USA time/density map "Enable USA map time sequence" generation. The USA time/density map will automatically sequence through the five time periods when the "Time Sequence Start" link on the USA time/density map page is clicked.

GedHTree V2.13. Release date Oct 10, 2002.
- Added optional header and footer to index page (ghtindex.htm). Click on "Banner, Email address, Home page, Header, Footer option" button and follow instructions.
- Name prefixes, name suffixes/name titles are now included on the family group pages for spouses and children. The name prefix is placed in front of the individual's name. The name suffix is placed following a comma after an individual's name. If a name suffix is not present the name title is placed following a comma after an individual's name.
- Added child numbers to family group pages.
- Changed output for children on family group pages who have "other spouses". The marriage year and spouse name for the child will always be the first spouse listed in the GEDCOM file.
- Changed formatting of index (ghtindex.htm) page. Underlined tree root individuals to highlight that they are links to ancestor trees. Changed wording explaining what the click-able link symbols are for and to which page they link to. Deleted display of GEDCOM file name.
- Changed group descendant tree page formatting to improve spacing between captions (Born:, Marr:, Died:) and data.

GedHTree V2.12. Release date May 6, 2002.
- Improved processing of sources. Sources for an individual (in-line and numbered reference sources) will appear on the source page accessed by clicking on the source icon for that individual on the family group pages. Source associations and citations are output along with the source. There is a wide variety of formats for sources within GEDCOM files. GedHTree processes most source formats, but, may miss some. The processing of sources is the same for the unregistered and registered versions of GedHTree.
- Changed format of Frequent Surname and Surname count pages. The format is now surname(count).
- Increased the number of unique surnames counted and sorted for the Frequent Surname and Surname Count pages from 2000 to 5000.
- Changed format on Name/Age Stats page. The format for first and middle names is now name(count).
